Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga ~ with Filipa Veiga
1st workshop: Saturday 26th January
Practice: a journey into the fundamentals
Theory: what is Ashtanga Yoga?
2nd workshop: Saturday 2nd February
Practice: breaking down half of the primary series
Theory: the 3 pillars of Ashtanga Yoga
We live in a world where we are constantly ‘on.’ We rarely get time to switch off and just be. Stress comes at us from everywhere: work, family, relationships, high-intensity exercise, even breathing incorrectly puts stress on our body. With this workshop Filipa invites you to just be.
The Ashtanga yoga practice starts with physical postures in a specific sequence combined with breathing techniques to open the body and burn away the negative effects of stress. The internal heat that is created in the body as it moves in time with the breath from posture to posture, allows the impurities, tightness and stress to slowly and surely dissolve. Each movement or vinyasa, to get from one posture to the next, flows in time with the breath and are just as important as the postures themselves so that our minds are completely absorbed in the movement of the body.
This course is designed to ensure every student who comes to this workshops can have a good understanding of the ashtanga yoga practice, tradition and philosophy. The practice of the Ashtanga Yoga is based on the 8 limbs of yoga and this is the foundation of the practice. That is why we are talking about a method. And this method is based on 3 principles, the 3 pillars of the Ashtanga Yoga.
Filipa started practising Ashtanga Yoga in 2004 at Casa Vinyasa with Isa Guitana and Tarik, her primary teachers. Since embarking on this new journey through yoga, the experience has been both rewarding and challenging.
Since 2013 she travels every year to Mysore, in India, to study with her teacher ParamaGuru, Sharath Jois. During her fourth trip to Mysore, her teacher granted her the honour and blessing to teach the traditional method according to the KPJAYI.
In parallel, Filipa is studying Ayurveda and learning about the yogic lifestyle. She keeps up her love for writing in her blog Yoga-me. Her articles have become a book, which was released and published in Portuguese in 2016 with the same name.
Filipa is known for her dynamic and transformative classes in which her students learn the great purpose of practising yoga: the opening of the heart.
At the moment she lives in Cascais with her family and still travels to Bali for retreats as well as participates in various wellness events as a yoga teacher as well as a speaker. She is an ambassador for Wanderlust Portugal and started a new project in 2018 bringing the Bali vibe to Europe with the Portugal Spirit Festival.

Community Acupuncture with Hayley Enright
Enjoy a relaxing acupuncture treatment in a group setting at 75% off the regular price.
It’s the perfect time to try acupuncture if you’ve never had it before, to enjoy a unique experience with a friend or family member, or just to save money on feeling good.
Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years in Asia. Traditionally friends and family do it together. This is known as “community acupuncture.” Much like a group meditation session, you’re gathered in one room, relaxing quietly and peacefully in a healing environment as your body is restored and finds balance.
What can it help?
How does it work?
Hayley will chat quietly with you about what you need, then direct you to get comfortable on a yoga mat or chair. She will take your pulse and look at your tongue, then gently put in the needles. You’ll rest while your body relaxes during treatment. Sessions last 30 minutes (so please arrive no later than 30 minutes before the end), which is plenty of time for the acupuncture to do its work.
At our Therapy Space, Sala 28, 4th floor!
How much is it?
At 75% off the private session price, Community Acupuncture is only 15€.
No reservation necessary, just bring yourself!

Yoga Nidra - 2 Day Intensive with Yohann and Selma
Yoga Nidra is a profound technique for deep relaxation, emotional release and self realisation. It is a form of guided meditation in which the practitioners, lying on a mat, are guided through the instructors voice to experience different parts of their bodies at a slow pace. Through this process the muscles and the mind relaxes and a state of great peace is attained.
Yoga Nidra reconnects us to the Silence within the space of pure peace and presence within. By reconnecting to this silence, our experience of life widens and our body self healing capacities naturally increase.
Everybody can benefit from Yoga Nidra, it has the potential to help all those who suffer from stress, anxiety, an overactive mind, repressed emotions or pain in the body.
Yoga Nidra is an ancient method that comes to us from the Himalayan masters, who passed it down for generations to allow the sincere seekers of Truth to discover their true nature and clean their minds from attachment and aversions so that we can experience unaltered peace and contentment.
In this workshop we will:
- Practice 4 sessions of yoga Nidra.
Each session will follow a different approach and tradition.
- Practice 2 sessions of Yin Yoga to relax and stretch the body. Yin Yoga is a very gentle form of Yoga that suits all levels of practitioners and body types.
- Learn about what is Yoga and Yoga Nidra, what are the 3 states and the 3 energies that manifest in our lives.
- Learn about identification and Self enquiry and how through Self Enquiry pain and suffering can transform into peace and bliss.
At the end of the workshop you will have experienced 4 different styles of You Nidra and we will share the recordings with you so that you can continue your practice at home.
There is no previous knowledge about Yoga or Yoga Nidra necessary to attend this workshop.
Everybody is able and invited to join us.
Date: 9th and 10th February 2019
Time: 10:00h - 18:30h
Price: 100€ until 13th January, after 120€
The participation is limited to 10 students
The course will be held in English.
About Yohann and Selma
We are a couple, travelling through various places in the world, to discover, learn, share and expand in our true nature. Both of us have a deep love for supporting other beings on their journeys towards themselves through Thai Massage, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
The practice of Yin Yoga helped us to overcome physical pain to feel home in our bodies and to bring peace into movement and the present moment. You Nidra took us even beyond our bodies into deep states of Silence in which conditions and limitations are non-existent. Trough experiencing the benefits of these these two powerful practices it is our great joy to share them with anyone who is interested to dive deep into themselves.
Whenever we don’t teach, we live and are with our Master Sri Mooji in Portugal to expand in our own growth and liberation.

Yoni egg introduction workshop with Martina
Our womb and yoni is our inner sanctum, a place to access our wisdom, our power. We all come from this magical, profound place. And yet, generally we don’t honor this sacred place, most of us use our wombs as psychic garbage bins throwing there emotions that we’re unwilling to feel or face. Yoni in sanskrit literally means sacred temple and is used to refer to a woman’s vagina.
Very often we are completely cut off from our pelvic area, the center of our vital, creative, sexual force. We store a lot of repressed emotions and beliefs about our sexuality in our yoni that can cause pain or numbness.
Yoni Egg is an amazing tool that helps us to gain more awareness and sensitivity in our yoni. Yoni eggs are made of different types of crystals but traditionally they were made of jade in ancient China. Jade has a high vibration and is a very balancing stone, therefore it’s a perfect stone to start with. Consciously using a Yoni Egg can be an effective tool to changing pattern of the cellular memory and assisting in regaining a healthy balance in the sensual tissues. It also enables you to start perceiving your yoni in a new way and even grow new nerves in the yoni and pelvis and therefore expand your pleasure potential.
The egg helps to tone the lower abdomen and strengthen the muscles of the pelvic and urogenital diaphragms, which serve as a floor for all our vital organs. When these muscles are strong they prevent leakage of our vital force and sexual energy.
This workshop will be held in a safe space in a circle of women where every single woman will be encouraged to respect her own needs and limitations and go at her own pace. We will use our breath, movement and presence to connect to different parts of our yoni, strengthen her muscles as well as find some softness in the tissues where we might hold tensions to restore the natural balance and unlock her full potential and power.
Some Benefits of Yoni Egg you can experience:
In this workshop you will learn:
Note: Please bring your own yoni egg. If you don't have one and you would like to participate please let me know. .

Womb Yoga - Honouring the cycles of the moon within ~ with Martina
Conscious understanding of the journey of monthly bleeds and accompanying cycles
This is an invitation for all women to step into their wild feminine power through menstrual cycle awareness. You will explore your relationship to your menstrual cycle and how you can bring more awareness to your unique inner rhythms by keeping track of your cycle and by learning about different phases. You will learn about inner spring, inner summer, inner autumn and inner winter of your cycle, how they connect you to lunar phases and yearly seasons, their gifts and challenges and womb yoga practices that help you to embrace and love your cycle and alleviate any physical and emotional difficulties.
You will learn that as you feel and respond to your changing mood and energy throughout the phases of the cycle you’ll experience a deeper connection to your unique self. As each woman works with her own cycle and builds trust in its process and power, she develops an intimate trust in the power of the Feminine.
“Imagine a world in which the menstrual cycle is respected as a woman’s spiritual practice. Imagine that women are so grounded in their menstrual cycle that they naturally develop trust in their body and the inner life-giving processes. Imagine that as a woman grows into the powers of the cycle, she befriends her sexuality and is gradually initiated into the full ecstatic sexual power of the female body. Imagine that throughout a woman’s menstruating years she grows a fierce inner dignity about the uniqueness of who she is.”
