Kundalini Yoga & Gong Meditation - with Jasbhagat Singh
The workshop will start with an explanation of basic Kundalini yoga techniques, followed by a warm up, preparing the body for the meditative class. The meditations will varies in quantity, time and intensity. Once mind and body will be ready, open to receive the healing vibration of the Gong, participant will lie down. They will be guided by the sound of the Gong, mainly Tibetan bowls and wind chimes, into a deep state of relaxation (50 minutes).
Slowly after some gentle movements to awaken our body will come into a circle, chanting together a healing mantra. After we close the class there will be a hot herbal tea and time to share the experiences.
Kundalini is the primordial life energy that lies dormant in a human, near the base of the spine. Kundalini Yoga is an ancient science, which was initially passed from master to disciple, exclusively and originates from the Indian subcontinent.
In the 60's Yogi Bhajan brought this knowledge to the West initiating its dissemination in Europe and North America. Today Kundalini Yoga is practiced in all continents and is expanding constantly. The technology of Kundalini Yoga includes breathing exercises, postures, relaxation and meditation techniques, many of which include the chanting of mantras.
KY strengthens, lengthens and relaxes all muscles and the metabolism. It increases breathing capacity and physical performance and refines mental vitality. It also improves the nervous, glandular and immunological system.
Following rigorous practice, the practitioner of Kundalini Yoga connects his consciousness to the universal cosmic consciousness, reaching deep states of meditation. Therefore acquiring the capacity to live a spiritual life in a more complete and balanced way. Kundalini Yoga is a means to a better understanding of yourself and to change your own destiny for the better!
The gong is an ancient sacred instrument of healing and transformation.
It generates deep and powerful sound waves, giving the feeling of bathing your whole being in healing vibration. The impact of the vibration resonates on different levels. On a physical level it releases tension and blocks in the body. It stimulates the endocrine system together with the nervous system, and as a result our Prana (vital force) will increase, establishing a new balance in our life. On a mental level, it washes our subconscious mind, it cuts the flow of thoughts and releases the stress that comes with it, to put us in contact with our true self. On the emotional level the sound vibration act as a deep cellular massage that shakes and releases emotional blockages stored in the memory of our cells.
The flow of sound created by the gong, carries us into a deep state of relaxation. This state awakens the neutral mind so that our inner wisdom of self healing can occur.
What to bring:
-take in account that you will lay down on the mat for 50 minutes so in case you need extra, softer layers or a small pillow feel free to bring it. Mats and blankets are available at the studio.
At twenty years old the first radical choice arrived, it was time to leave Italy and start to wonder around, carefree, guided by the fragrance of new experiences.
It was in 2010, while walking in park in north London that I stumbled upon a Kundalini Yoga class. Until that moment I did not know what I was looking for, but I was sure that I had found it. So I began to follow this new fragrance called Truth. There is no need to say how many times I took the wrong direction, but in the end, is there a better advisor than your own mistakes?
Thanks to them, in 2012 I ended up in Portugal in the Ashram of the Kundalini Yoga Master Shiv Charan Singh, where I lived for a year and a half. The time I spent there brought a lot of personal growth and closed a cycle of searching, by becoming a Kundalini Yoga Teacher.

Experience the beauty of vinyasa! Learn how to link every single movement with a breath – creating a moving meditation. Build heat, flexibility and strength and move through intelligent, fun and invigorating sequences. The first part of the workshop will be more technical, getting familiar with the Ujjai breath and look close at the postures that build up the vinyasa; downward facing dog, plank, chaturanga dandasana and upward facing dog. We’ll break them down and go through how to modify them so that they work for your body. In the second part of the workshop we’ll incorporate all of this into a dynamic flow. Open to all levels.

Back bending to Liberation ~ a special masterclass with Helen Noakes
In this workshop we will first touch in with the naturally occuring Wave in the spine itself, as a preparation for exploring extension then ultimately backward flexion of our spine or our core spring in various poses. Awakening our feet will play an integral part of our explorations and will connect us to the spirals that continue within us. This will give ease to facing our tension and ultimately allowing a space of deep softening so we can travel magically into the poses. This workshop will give you tools to aid new pathways of unfolding and expand into a deeper understanding of your own body and the magic that lies beneath the skin.
Scaravelli inspired yoga is revolutionary. It is a never ending, continuous exploration of the miracle that is our body.
We will discover how we can become more centred and grounded by creating a strong connection to earth with our feet. Alongside our relationship to the breath and gravity we will feel deep and lasting release in our body.

Restorative Sunday ~ with Arina
Feeling tired, anxious or stressed? Always on the run with endless to do’s? Come join Arina for a lovely sunday morning of Restorative Yoga. She has carefully designed a practice, which will help you let go, become grounded and feel at ease in body and mind.
To rest and relax is essential, especially in our high paced society. Restorative Yoga is an antidote to the stresses of our lives and provides us with a moment of quietness and peace. In Restorative Yoga our body is fully supported, in comfortable and effortless postures, which will allow our entire nervous system to shift from a “fight/flight mode” to a state of ease and calm.
Who can join? Everyone is welcome, being new to yoga or experienced yoginis or yogis, teachers as well.
Arina's background in contemporary dance, physiotherapy and yoga has allowed her to work with rehabilitation through movement for many years. She is very passionate about sharing practices, which help bring more calm and peace into our lives. Her training includes, among others, a bachelor in Physiotherapy and studies in Restorative Yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater (Relax & Renew®) & Miila Derzett (Método Restaurativo).

Yoga Immersion with Kat / Imersão de Yoga com a Kat
As we bring the awareness to what is happening inside and where we are in the present moment, the body is encouraged to release where it is holding. The Scaravelli inspired approach is an invitation to play with gravity, free the breath and find space in the body to allow it to move to its full potential. That way the body can start to work deeper and move more freely into yoga postures, exploring how these openings and connections can help us un-do habitual (and potentially painful) holding patterns. Then we can embark on a journey of restoration and transformation.
This immersion class offers a fun and in-depth exploration of movement and individual postures with the aim of finding more space in the body and accessing deeper strength and a more congruent alignment. We look for ways to create the conditions in the body so great movement feels effortless.
Beginners are welcome.
