Art at Little Yoga Space

Art is communication and a sign of life. 

​In 2022 we decided to bring Art as a modality to Little Yoga Space. We love working with local artists and want to bring Art to the community. This might be in form of exhibitions, but also workshops and events, where everyone can get involved and tap into their own creativity. As we know, creativity and expression form important parts of our human nature. 

Current Exhibition - The Tabard Tarot by Tom Maryniak

Tom Maryniak is an artist printmaker based in Lisbon, Portugal. 

In 2020 Tom was commissioned by Fiona Lensvelt, a Tarot reader, publisher and one half of Litwitchure to come up with a set of Tarot cards with a  “cheekily British twist”, after seeing some of his ‘Victorian’s Farting’ wallpaper in a London Restaurant.

With this brief in mind he decided he wanted to convey something of the worldly experience for the average Brit - something that wasn’t twee, that avoided historical sentiment and that transcended class and social background. He decided therefore on a theme that undeniably spoke for himself and the majority of the British people: The Pub.

Each of his interpretations of the Major Arcana follows ‘The Fool’ as he embarks on a drunken and somewhat spiritual pilgrimage, encountering various drinking holes, dens of inequity and life lessons along the way.
