Supporting you and your body's natural healing process

Are you navigating an ongoing condition that deeply impacts your quality of life? Perhaps symptoms like pain, fatigue, or anxiety make daily routines feel overwhelming, and you're longing to reconnect with a sense of ease and wholeness.

While no treatment can offer quick fixes or guarantee results, Osteothai can be a supportive, complementary practice on your healing journey. It may help bring more comfort and ease to your body, reduce the severity and frequency of flare-ups, and support your natural recovery processes.
Our bodies are designed to heal

The belief in the body’s innate capacity for healing lies at the heart of many Eastern practices and forms the foundation of Osteopathy. This understanding is also central to Osteothai, which beautifully integrates the principles of Osteopathy with the art of Thai Yoga Massage.

The body holds an incredible intelligence - an inherent blueprint for health and balance. Healing is never about someone else fixing you; it’s about facilitating the right conditions for your own self-healing. My role as a practitioner is to co-create a safe, nurturing environment where your body can reconnect with its natural wisdom.

Healing is a process that often requires time, patience, and gentle guidance. Together, we can invite meaningful shifts by:

≈ Undoing habitual holding patterns that have accumulated over a lifetime ≈
≈ Re-educating the body to perceive and process your lived experiences in new ways ≈
≈ Releasing tension and revitalising the body’s systems ≈
≈ Removing stagnation and re-mobilising areas of restriction ≈
≈ Supporting the nervous system to rewire and find greater regulation ≈

What is Osteothai?

Osteothai is a harmonious blend of Thai Yoga Massage and osteopathic principles. It combines the precise, gentle techniques of Osteopathy - such as fascia release and mobilisation - with the creative, dynamic elements of Thai Massage, which includes stretching, movement, acupressure, and energy work.

Each session is unique, tailored to meet your body’s specific needs in that moment. Together, we listen to the body’s natural intelligence, allowing the treatment to focus on areas that may need support - whether that’s the joints, muscles, fascia, internal organs, respiratory system, spine, or nervous system.

The roots of Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient practice rooted in Buddhist traditions. It weaves together elements of yoga, acupressure, meditation, physiotherapy, and energy work to restore balance in both body and mind.

With its grounding and deeply relaxing qualities, Thai Yoga Massage offers a powerful antidote to modern-day stress. By releasing tension and blockages, the body can regenerate, and the mind finds space to quieten and recalibrate. This holistic approach can help you feel more present, centred, and aligned with your own innate capacity for healing.

A gentle, respectful approach
I approach every treatment with the understanding that your body holds the story of your life experiences. With trauma-informed care, we move at your pace, always honouring your boundaries and ensuring you feel safe and supported throughout the session. There is no agenda to push your body beyond its readiness; instead, we work together to gently invite the possibility of change and relief.

This work isn’t about fixing. It’s about walking alongside you on your healing path, holding space for your unique process and trusting the wisdom of your body to guide the way.

What we might address during a session

Osteothai promotes health and well-being by working to release blockages in the body and restore free, natural movement.

You might:
  • Feel more connected with your body
  • Experience better, more restful sleep
  • Gain clarity and reduce brain fog
  • Feel a literal weight lifted off your shoulders
  • Notice a reduction in the frequency and severity of flare-ups
  • Feel more resilient and better able to cope with life’s challenges
  • Experience increased energy levels
  • Access a profound sense of inner stillness
  • Notice less pain and discomfort in your body
  • Release habitual tension that your body has been holding
  • Improve your breathing capacity
  • Support the healing process of an injury or illness

Examples of how Osteothai has supported people

A woman living with severe Multiple Sclerosis received weekly sessions that helped improve her sleep, digestion, and overall sense of sluggishness. She found great relief in simply experiencing her legs move freely during sessions, offering a respite from her demanding daily circumstances.

Another woman, experiencing a difficult period of severe colitis, used Osteothai sessions to manage the overwhelming stress caused by her condition. Over time, we were also able to release some of the blockages in her digestive tract, bringing more comfort and ease.

A couple I work with enjoys regular sessions as a way to maintain their well-being and manage whatever life throws their way. For them, the treatments serve as both a nurturing treat and a form of ongoing support.

Many people with scoliosis seek out Osteothai treatments with me, as I have personal experience with this condition. In these cases, we often see improvements in structural alignment, which can lead to more sustained periods of reduced pain.

Several of my female clients experience hormone imbalances and severe menstrual pain. Through consistent sessions, we’ve been able to restore balance and, when timed well, reduce the severity of their menstrual symptoms.

I also work with clients managing chronic conditions, ranging from kidney disease to bipolar disorder. These conditions can be deeply challenging and, at times, traumatising. Our sessions often focus on improving sleep, reducing blood pressure, and helping clients reconnect with a sense of Self amid their healing journeys.

What people have said after a treatment

Receiving a Thai Massage from Kat I felt very safe and held. Kat works with a mix of calm confidence and sensitivity that allows you space to relax fully. The depth of her knowledge and skill is clear, I felt as if layers of long held patterns and life experiences were being gentle released and peeled away. The treatment left me feeling so much lighter physically and emotionally.
~ Sophia Argyris
I feel calm and rebalanced during every massage with Katrin and float home after - testament to her understanding of and sensitivity to the human body and energy.
The skill and fluency of the massage made for a hugely relaxing and therapeutic experience and I was left rested, carefully but definitely stretched and somewhat invigorated.
... My entire body feels as if it’s been stretched and blockages released. As a result, I feel considerably lighter after a treatment.
The effect of just one treatment on my well- being is profound. This is a great way to take care of yourself.

What happens in a treatment

A session typically lasts 1.5 hours. However, as the work happens in the moment and responds to what arises, a session may take a little less or a little longer, with a maximum of 2 hours. The treatment is done on a futon on the floor, and you remain fully dressed throughout the session.

Please wear comfortable clothing such as leggings and a t-shirt. Bringing a pair of warm socks can also be helpful to ensure you stay cosy and relaxed.
