Your first visit at Little Yoga Space
We look forward to welcoming you at the studio or therapy space. Here is some information you might find helpful if it's your first visit.
Getting there
Our address is: Rua da Assunção 42, 1100-044 Lisboa, Baixa
(open in Google maps) The studio is only a few minutes walking distance from Metro Station Baixa-Chiado or Rossio. Studio - 1st floor, room 3 Therapy Room - 4th floor, room 28 |
Before 9h and after 18h, on weekends and Feriados, the main entrance to the street is closed. Please ring the doorbell for room 3 or 28 respectively and someone will buzz you in.
If the main door is open, you can just walk in and come up. We don't have a reception area, so if you arrive quite early, we kindly ask that you keep the noise down as to not to disturb the ongoing class or session (or not to ring the doorbell until 10 minutes before.) There is an elevator at the back of the entrance area. Access to the elevator is unfortunately a little restricted and a larger wheelchair may not have enough room to maneuver. |
Respecting time
We really want to honour everyone's time. We kindly ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes before the class or session, so there is enough time to get organised and settled in the space and the class or session can start and finish on time. Depending on the class and your time of arrival, late-comers may not be let in.
What to bring
Clothing: Please bring or wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movement. During cooler months, we recommend you also bring a warmer layer and some socks for the relaxation part of the class.
Water/something to drink: We have filtered water and tea available at the studio, but you may want to bring your own drinking bottle. We kindly ask that you do not bring single-use plastic bottles.
Please look after your own belongings, as we are sure they are dear to you. We at Little Yoga Space can’t take the responsibility for any loss, theft or damages.

Yoga equipment
We have mats, blocks, belts, blankets and bolsters available at the studio, so there is no need to bring your own. And of course, if you prefer to practice on your own mat, feel free to bring it.
After every class, we kindly ask you to help us clean the mats and put all the equipment back on the shelf.

Facilities
Toilets are available on every floor, but are down the corridor and shared between the other units in the building. You might find it more comfortable to put your shoes back on when going to the toilet.
We have a small changing area in both our spaces. At the studio, it's only for one person, so there might be a queue. Maybe you prefer to arrive already in your Yoga clothes.
When you arrive, we kindly ask that you take off your shoes in the entrance area. We have plenty of coat hooks and shelf space where you can leave your other belongings. Once the door is closed, it can't be opened from the outside, so your belongings will be safe during the class or session.

Before your class or session
Often people find it more comfortable to practice Yoga or receive a treatment etc, if they haven't had a big meal just before. So we recommend you don't eat for about 1-2 hours beforehand or only have a light snack.
We appreciate that everyone takes care of their personal hygiene before coming to the space in order to make the experience as pleasant for everyone as possible.

Injuries, pain or health issues you are concerned about
Please make sure you inform your teacher or therapist of any injuries, pain or health conditions that might affect your practice or receiving a treatment. That way, we can insure to tailor the practice or session accordingly and safely.
If your plans change
Things come up, plans can change. We understand. You can change your booking of a class up until 2 hours before it starts via our booking system. However, please note, we do not offer any cash refunds. All the teachers and facilitators put an enormous amount of time, energy and effort into their work, and we want to protect their income.
