Introduction to Qi Gong ~ 6-week live online course with Kirsten Wilkinson
Are you curious about Chinese Medicine and it’s benefits? Have you heard of Qi Gong, but haven’t found a class you are ready to take yet? Are you ready to find your personal rhythmic flow and whole being balance through calm movements? Are you ready to let stress and anxiety melt away while you gather energy around you?
If the answer to any of these questions was “yes”, then it is time to try the ancient practice of Qi Gong. Qi Gong can be translated as Qi, vital energy, and Gong, skill cultivated through steady practice. It has roots in traditional Chinese Medicine, philosophy, and martial arts. Through coordinated body movements, breathing, and mediations related to nature and our own biology, Qi Gong has been known to improve all layers of health and wellbeing. In this 6-week course we will learn the fundamental movements, breathing techniques, and short mediations that will introduce the practice, science, and philosophy of Qi Gong practice. Classes will include appropriate Qi Gong flow movement series for balancing states of energy, regulating body organs according to universal elements, and short educational discussions about philosophy and origin of practices for the season. What are the benefits of Qi Gong?
The approach of this class focuses on traditional Chinese Medicine practices and philosophies that come from ancient eastern philosophies and scientific discoveries based on the Holden and Ta Mo lineages. Kirsten will give opportunities for 5 Elements learning, integration of practices, inquiry, and exploration of personal practice. Classes will include methodical Qi Gong movement series along with meditative practices and short informational discussions. All Levels welcome! This class is for you, if...
