About Johanna
Johanna is a passionate yoga teacher and Thai massage therapist. She is an experienced and registered Yoga teacher and continuing education provider with Yoga Alliance. She is also a certified Thai Yoga massage therapist and Roll Model Method practitioner.
Johanna began her yoga practise in 2005 to help with sciatic pain and stress. She started to experiment with different yoga styles and methods and traveled for 5 years - eventually in 2015 her travels brought her to India. She completed a 200 hour Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Yin Yoga teacher training with Trimurti Yoga School in the Himalayan province of Dharamkot. Back in Lisbon she started teaching at Little Yoga Space Lisboa and in Lisbons parks whilst training as a Thai Yoga Massage practitioner with Hadadi School of Thai Massage. In 2018 Johanna did a further 300 hour training with Trimurti Yoga in Goa, focusing on the Philosophy of 5 Elements from Ayurvedic & Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective. The Roll Model Method is the latest addition to her training. It is a self-care Myofascia Massage method, using Therapy Balls to erase pain, enhance performance and build emotional resilience. She builds this method into her Yoga classes and workshops to help her students to improve body awareness and feel better through self-myofascial release. Johanna loves being out in nature and in touch with the elements; be it surfing in the ocean, walking her dog in the park or hiking in the mountains. She likes to meditate, laugh and to meet people from different places all over the world. Yoga is the ultimate form of balance for Johanna, bringing focus, peace and harmony into every part of her life. By practising and sharing her knowledge she believes that she can help to find a way to build self-awareness and transformation. For more about Johanna, visit her website - www.yoganalisboa.com |
