Do you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep? Are you feeling moderate or intense moments of overwhelm. Are you interested in expanding your post traumatic recovery? Have you heard of Yoga Nidra, but weren’t sure if it was for you?

Yoga Nidra is sometimes referred to as “sleep yoga”, however, the practice has much deeper layers that include the discovery of our heartfelt mission or desire, how we can build intention to achieve those goals, and maintaining our safe container through resources that assist us in staying present during difficult times. In this 6-week course you will transition from a short gentle flow movement sequences into voice guided imagery and sensation menus that will awaken your inner intentions and expand your experiences of wakeful rest and deep, deep relaxation. Yoga Nidra is a dualistic and holistic practice that works from a place of opposites to assist you in finding your truth, live you integrity, and restore yourself from within. Through interrelated projects Legacy Motion dedicates itself to evaluating, creating and implementing high quality sustainable programs based on experience and collaborations in the field. Her professional dance career spans over 10 years during which she performed with such companies as The San Francisco Ballet, David Dorfman and Heidelberg Ballet. She has held positions at The Library of Congress, Dance Heritage Coalition, and various adjunct professorships at American University Cairo, University of Oregon, University of Hawaii and many more. After much physical trauma sustained in a car accident, she has found sanctuary in her yoga practice and teaching. She is a certified Hot Yoga and 200YTT yoga instructor with thousands of hours teaching moving bodies. Kirsten’s training comes from a broad background including Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Nidra, Alexander Technique, LabanNotation, Dance Therapy, TCTSY, and Mind/Body Therapy.
