Last month’s topic of our Monthly Mat Chats was provided by the wonderful Marie, one of our Yoga teachers.
Mind-body connection is a fundamental aspect of our wellbeing as it's the vital link between our mental and physical states. Whether through practices like yoga, mindfulness, or simply tuning into your sensations, nurturing the mind-body connection can be crucial to our emotional and physical stability. It becomes a fundamental need for our nervous system’s health and a happy mind, so to know how and when to incorporate these practices is key. As featured on our Monthly Mat Chats, September 2023.
So why does resilience matter? In the ebb and flow of life, resilience is the sturdy vessel that keeps us afloat, amidst the tumultuous seas of daily challenges. It's the inner strength that allows us not only to weather the storms but to emerge from them stronger. Particularly during the most trying times, the importance of nurturing our innate resilience becomes abundantly clear, for it is resilience that empowers us to navigate life with more grace and ease. A reflection by Johanna Hellinger, plus her favourite green juice recipe
It all started with a conversation I had with a friend. He recommended a fasting plan he did for a week, it took 3 hard days for him and then he said that he was buzzing with energy. I have heard about this type of fasting before and considered it as a good idea to keep your body healthy and support spiritual practises by feeling lighter and less distracted. I never tried it before though, because i didn't want to feel lethargic or drained due to the lack of food. This is a gentle and soothing practice that brings you to a complete state of relaxation, if you are anxious or unsettled. Subscribe to Sandra's Youtube channel here
